Vanessa Morgan is a Canadian actress who became famous pretty early in her life. She started her acting career at the age of 8, so you shouldn't be surprised if you see her in movies and series where you see only kids. She might be 31 years old today, but she wasn't when she started!
She was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on March 23, 1992, and has two siblings. She's the youngest of the three, so some would argue that she had it the best. As you already know, the youngest kids get everything, so if that really is true, Vanessa had a pretty good childhood.
Before Vanessa began her acting career, she was into singing. She actually started singing at the age of 6, which is impressive, especially after learning that she sang at community events and telethons. She was also a regular guest entertainer for the College of the Desert scholarship foundation.
Even though she was on a pretty good track, as far as the singing goes, she was spotted by a Hollywood agent back in 1000, which was one of the most important things that happened in her life. Why? Well, thanks to that agent, she won a scholarship at a Hollywood acting academy and finally began her acting career.
She won a pageant
At the same time, she was noticed by that Hollywood agent, and she also decided to see if she would be a good model. Not only was she good, but she also won the Junior Miss America pageant. I guess she was really talented from a young age because it takes a lot to win something like that at the age of 7.
Besides that, she also won first place as a vocalist at the National Date Festival. I think that this gives you a pretty good idea of how good of a singer Vanessa was, but that's not all. A year later, in 2000, she won first place in the African-American Vocal competition.
Vanessa really was very active as a kid because she did a bunch of shit. On top of all the singing and modeling, she is also a part of the competitive NTA tennis program at the Ottawa Athletic Club. I guess she wanted to stay active as if it wasn't enough that she didn't have free time to do all the dumb stuff kids usually do.
Made her acting debut in 2000

She made her first appearances on TV in the VH1 film A Diva's Christmas Carol in 2000. After that, she made another appearance in the film Frankie and Alice in 20010.
Vanessa became pretty well known in 2007 for her role as Amanda Pearce in the family teen comedy series The Latest Buzz. Oh yeah, she also performed the theme song for the series. So, not only did she have a role there, but she also sang the song that probably kept playing every single episode.
She also had the chance to play Marion Hawthorne in the 2010 Disney Channel movie Spy: Blog Wars. It makes sense that she has collaborated with Disney since she started at a young age, and if Disney is not meant for kids, I don't know what it is.
The very next year, Vanessa played the role of Sarah in the movie My Babysitter's a Vampire. This is also a Disney movie. Also, she started in the television series with the same name simultaneously. Next comes another role for the Disney Channel movie Geek Charming in 2011. As far as the Disney roles go, she had another one. Vanessa had a recurring role in season 2 of the comedy series A.N.T. Farm for 4 episodes.
It might seem that she was just working with Disney, but she did more. In 2013, she appeared on Degrassi: The Next Generation for only two episodes. It's not a lot, but it's better than nothing.
Vanessa got the recurring role on the MTV show Finding Carter the following year, where she played Beatrix Bird Castro.
One of the biggest roles Vanessa ever got was the one on the fantasy drama series The Shannara Chronicles. After all, she got the main part there, so yeah. You can't compare this role to some of the other ones that definitely weren't the main ones.
I keep coming across more and more information about Vanessa. She also competed in the first season of the competition series The Amazing Race Canada with her sister, Celina Mziray. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that Vanessa Morgan Mziray is her full legal name? I'm guessing that second last name has something to do with her father, who's from Tanzania. There's no way that's a Canadian last name!
Vanessa was briefly married
I was impressed by her acting career, but I was really surprised by her personal life. On July 3, 2020, she got engaged to a professional baseball player, Michael Kopech. They got married half a year later, on January 4, 2020. This all seems pretty normal stuff, but bear with me because there's a twist.
On June 19, 2020, her husband filed for divorce. What the fuck is up with that? They have been together for half a year and already figured out they can't stand each other. Why the fuck would they even get married if they couldn't last that long in marriage? I doubt their relationship was any better before because there's just no way some big change happened in such a short period.
Anyway, she got pregnant with that dude. Actually, she announced that she was pregnant just a month after her husband filed for divorce. You might think that she would go and patch things up with her husband just so they could have a normal family, but that didn't happen. She gave birth in 2021 to their son, but their divorce was still pending. However, her husband wasn't her husband in 2023 because he was engaged to another woman.
Won 3 awards
Vanessa was nominated for 6 awards total, but she only won half of them. I guess that's still pretty good. She won the Planet Africa Award for the category Rising Star in 2014. Besides that, she won 2 Teen Choice Awards for Choice Breakout TV Star and Choice Scene Stealer categories.
No nude scenes
Even though Vanessa Morgan spent plenty of time in front of the camera, she didn't make any nude scenes. However, you will come across plenty of images that look so fucking good. I'm talking about pics where she wears tight bikinis and poses in various settings.
