Our Dream picked something of an ironic title for an adult website. I’m writing this on New Years Eve, and it’s going to be the very last review I write for the year. Sure enough, they start setting themselves apart from even slightly older platforms with the spread of bots on the front page. Their AI-generated thumbnail shots are gorgeous, without the extra fingers and other deformities that were so common just months ago. Some of the pics are even animated, with short loops that sure look like real videos of beautiful women moving their bodies.
I took a quick look at the platform’s character generator to get a sense for how their bots were put together. OurDream.ai takes something of a middle-ground approach between the vanilla AI chat apps and the kinker hentai ones. Creators can flesh out scenarios and build detailed personalities, offering a lot more versatility and roleplaying potential than you get with the simpler apps.
This is reflected in the range of premade characters, who consist of more than just your generic porno movie stock characters. OurDream.ai offers a free trial, so I signed up and started talking to Cassie. Our Dream’s trial is pretty fucking generous. The conversation was going well, and I still had a nice handful of free tokens left. A lot of trials cut you off before you really even get a sense for how intelligent their bots are, but wow, I was already impressed with Cassie. There’s a nice mix of roleplaying and dialog, both of which read beautifully sexy and realistic. Responses were typically 3 or 4 lines of banter and italicized exposition. “Maybe we should find something more interesting to do with our mouths…”
The feature is still in beta, but you can also adjust a character’s lust level and response length. Cassie’s sliders were in the middle for both, so I maxed them out, went back to the conversation, and asked what she wanted to do to my cock. All year long, I’ve been disappointed by the robotic fake voices coming out of these platforms. OurDream is among the first wave of AI chat sites doing it right, with pretty damn decent voice synthesis. Prices seem reasonable, as they weren’t coming out of my account too quickly, but there is a little bit of feeling around required.
As I mentioned earlier, OurDream takes an approach to character design somewhere between the hentai chat sites and the more traditional AI sex chat platforms. The character generator offers menus of physical attributes, and text prompts for fleshing out details about personality, clothing, and scenario. You can breeze right through the menus of ages, body types and ethnicities, but you’ll probably want to spend more time typing your fantasies into the boxes.
So that’s exactly what I did. I checked off the boxes to make a realistic woman named Claudia. She’s a Latina in her 20s, with gold eyes, purple hair in pigtails, and the biggest tits and ass available off the menu.
