Many of these movies were only filmed in Italy, so chances are, you missed out on them.
But you don’t need to keep hanging any longer! Keep it right here on ThePornDude, and learn about the career of Anita Ekberg. But be sure to keep it in your pants until you finish reading about this amazing talent!
Anita Ekberg’s early life
Anita Ekberg was born in Malmö, Sweden on September 1931. She was the sixth child of the eight children her mother gave birth to. Jesus Christ, that’s a lot of fucking!Anita Ekberg worked as a model during her teenage years. Highly successful, her mother encouraged her to enter the ‘Miss Malmö’ competition. Wondering, ‘what the hell, let’s fucking do it,’ Anita Ekberg entered the competition in 1950 and won.
She then entered the Miss Sweden competition that same year. Anita Ekberg fucking won that competition as well, marking her as the most gorgeous goddamn woman in all of Sweden. Wanting to become the ultimate babe in the universe, Anita Ekberg flew to the United States and entered the Miss Universe pageant in 1951, one year before it became officially recognized as a pageant.
Anita Ekberg didn’t win the pageant (she placed sixth), but she won something even more lucrative: a contract with Universal Studios. This propelled Anita Ekberg to her career as an actress of sorts, and it was one that she probably had no idea she would have. Before long, the eyes of the world would be on Anita Ekberg!
Anita Ekberg’s early career
Once Anita Ekberg received a contract with Universal Studios, she moved to Hollywood to begin working as a ‘starlet,’ meaning she had to train in all kinds of unique talents. While there, she was required to learn how to act in dramatic roles, dance, ride horses, and more. Though, at barely 20 years old, Anita Ekberg admittedly slacked off.Rather than going to her drama classes, Anita Ekberg would skip and ride horses in the Hollywood Hills. Who the fuck can blame her, when you’re getting paid to fuck around? Her contract ended after just six months.
But while she was under contract to Universal Studios, Anita Ekberg made several impressive appearances for Universal Studios. As soon as she signed, she was flown to Italy to play alongside Henry Fonda in War and Peace in 1956. While here, she met Frederico Fellini, an Italian director that would cast her in some of her most notable roles.
While still under contract with Universal Studios, Anita Ekberg appeared in a few films. She starred in The Mississippi Gambler, Abbott and Costello Go to Mars, and The Golden Blade with Rock Hudson. The latter is a big fucking deal, considering Rock Hudson was one of the biggest power players in Hollywood at the time.
Though Anita Ekberg might have thought that her film role opportunities had dried up by the time she was released from Universal Studios, her film career wasn’t finished yet. But first, she’d need to reinvent herself. What better way to do that in 1950s America than by fucking some of the most popular dudes in entertainment?!
Anita Ekberg becomes a sex symbol
After working with Universal Studios, Anita Ekberg decided that she was way too fucking sexy to leave the United States behind. Anita Ekberg understood almost immediately that in order to be in the hearts and minds of horny Americans, she needed to be covered by the press. And what better way to do that than by stirring up controversy?By today’s standards, the controversies that Anita Ekberg created are tame as fuck. Rumors began to circulate that she was sleeping around with some of the most famous dudes in the entertainment world, including Frank Sinatra himself. Gossip magazines around the time reported on what she was fucking up to, giving her more publicity and opportunities to show herself off.
This led to Anita Ekberg becoming one of the sexiest pin-ups models of the 1950s. She posed in magazines like Playboy and even accompanied comedian Bob Hope overseas on one of his visits to a US base. She went to Greenland, and while there, Bob Hope joked about how her mother and father were given the Nobel Peace Prize for architecture.
You get it? Bob Hope was joking about how her body is hot as fuck! Get it?! Ah, fuck it!
Anita Ekberg’s film career begins
Anita Ekberg ended the 1950s as one of the United States’ sexiest models. And, really, one of the most gorgeous women in the world. But her star power was about to reach new heights by starring in Frederico Fellini’s film La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life).Anita Ekberg’s role in the Italian director’s film proved to be a pivotal moment not only for her career, but her life as a whole. She would move back and forth between Italy, acting in roles in Italian, American, and British films, respectively. And it all began with La Dolce Vita, and there was one scene in particular that captivated audiences around the world.
La Dolce Vita has an iconic scene between Anita Ekberg and Marcello Mastroianni where she wades into the baroque Trevi fountain in a revealing strapless black dress, wading through the water and obviously horny as fuck. In a feature about her death, the BBC stated in 2015 that, “the sight of the water caressing her impossibly voluptuous body was shocking.” So much so that the fucking Vatican condemned the film.
Anita Ekberg responded to the Vatican by simply stating, “I’m very proud of my breasts, as every woman should be. It’s not cellular obesity, it’s womanliness.”
Later that decade, Anita Ekberg starred alongside two members of the infamous Rat Pack, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, in the comedy western 4 for Texas. She later admitted that, after the success that was La Dolce Vita, she grew bored with acting.
“Every producer or director in Italy, England, and America wanted me to recreate the same role – the movie star from America who comes over to Italy,” said Anita Ekberg in a 1960 interview with Sun Herald.
Throughout the rest of her career, Anita Ekberg would act in some of Frederico Fellini’s other films, such as The Clowns and Intervista, where she reunited with Marcello Mastroianni after 27 years. Though Anita Ekberg’s career had begun to sunset around the 70s, it truly dried up by the 80s and 90s. By the 2000s, Anita Ekberg was relatively unknown.
Anita Ekberg’s death
The last 15 years of Anita Ekberg’s life were met with tragedy. She was hospitalized due to an illness in 2009, followed by another hospitalization at the end of 2011 due to a broken hip. During her three-month stay in the hospital, Anita Ekberg’s home was robbed and damaged by a fire.Anita Ekberg’s health continued to deteriorate over the decade until she died in January 2015. At the time of her death, she was almost penniless due to the damage to her home. Her lawyer reportedly stated that she was trying to get better, and was annoyed with aging. Still, Anita Ekberg had a great outlook on death, per one of her later-in-life interviews:
“I don’t know if paradise or hell exist,” said Anita Ekberg in an interview with Aftonbladet, one of Sweden’s largest news publications. “But I’m sure hell is more groovy.”
