I loaded up Lucid Flix for the first time this morning, unsure of what I’d find but intrigued by the name. Getting Lucid with Lucid Flix
LucidFlix makes a hell of a strong impression right from the moment you pull up the front page. As much as I love the usual parade of reality porn paysites and the hardcore sex within, you’ll know immediately that this ain’t your typical premium porn site. They’ve got the auto-playing montage at the top of the screen like you expect from a high-end paysite, but the action playing out is shot with sexy red lighting, elaborate costumes and a set that reminds me of From Dusk Til Dawn--right down to the big snake and toe sucking!
It's hard to find a direct comparison here. The noticeably high production values and cinematic production remind me of sites like Wicked, though LucidFlix is not strictly a parody porn site. They’ve got their own technicolor vibe, different from the technicolor vibe on joints like MrLuckyPOV. I feel like there’s a Hentaied comparison to made, too, if only for how expensive and intricate everything looks; this ain’t live-action hentai. LucidFlix is definitely its own thing, and that thing is spectacular.
LucidFlix.com has clearly spent a lot of money making these movies, and they sure as hell didn’t blow the whole budget on special effects and pricey equipment. They also work with big names in the porno business. The chick getting boned in that front-page montage is none other than the illustrious Vanna Bardot. Daisy Fuentes, Jennifer White and Kimmy Granger have all made recent appearances. I even spotted a few of my costars from PornDudeCasting, like Gianna Dior, Jill Kassidy, Charly Summer and Eliza Ibarra.
Everything looks so incredible that I’m surprised I didn’t find a bigger brand name attached to LucidFlix.com somewhere. If it’s a new company, they’re clearly hiring people who’ve worked in the biz for a while. Also, the newness might be why they offer free video trailers out front. So many of the major players these days make you seek out your samples elsewhere, but Lucid Flix ain’t about to lose potential customers to the free tubes.

LucidFlix charges the same thirty bucks a month you pay anywhere else, though they’re currently running a Cinco de Mayo special that’ll get you half off the first month. They’ve also got a yearly rate that breaks down to about a tenner a month, which is solid. The catch is that the signup page says all memberships come with “Unlimited Streaming,” but make no mention of downloads. That ain’t the best sign for collectors.
There’s something else to watch out for, too. The signup page also offers you a “free month” of your pick from a row of other paysites. When I got to the payment page, though, I found out I’d actually opted into a free trial that immediately rebills at $40 after two days. Honestly, I hate that more than the fake “Play” buttons you find on a lot of premium porn tours.

This is industry standard and really the bare minimum I like to see on paysites. Runtimes are nice, too, typically running 30 to 60 minutes. Given the very high production values, I was worried they’d skimp on durations, like you find on some of the arty farty erotica sites.
As a newer site, Lucid Flix does have a smaller collection than sites that have been around for years. I’m sure you expected that. They’ve currently got a couple dozen flicks to fap your way through, and given those respectable run times, they should keep you going for a while.
Membership also comes with a free bonus tube with hundreds of movies. The freebies don’t have the same cinematic style as the Lucid Flix themselves, but you get a nice variety of hardcore porn to keep you all hard and drippy. Who’s Up for Some Cinemacore and a Fap?
From what I’ve seen of the previews, LucidFlix sure looked cool as hell, but was it too cool to whack off to? That’s more of a rhetorical question that I already knew the answer to, but you’ll know where I’m coming from if you’ve ever seen those arty erotica joints I mentioned. Some of them are mostly style with little substance.
I’m going to go back and watch that Vanna Bardot movie, but I figured I’d dive into something that hadn’t already made my dick hard. That’s why I chose a sexy fantasy porno starring Molly Little called Calypso. LucidFlix calls their content “Cinemacore,” and I was already on board by the time I hit the Play button.
The 42-minute flick opens with underwater footage of crashing waves and soft vocal music before Molly appears on the screen. Framed in soft blue-green lighting like she’s still underwater, Molly looks sexy as fuck all dolled up in elf ears, flashing those gorgeous eyes at the camera. It’s kind of a slow tease, but when her coworker appears about 4 minutes in, he’s already hard and ready to rock.

The sparse décor really works here, enhancing that otherworldly vibe. Are they fucking in a dream, or simply getting it on in a world besides our own?
It's such a great scene that I’m reminded again that LucidFlix.com doesn’t have a Download button. Downloads are one of the biggest disappearing and reappearing perks in the world of premium porno, and I hope to see it reappear here at some point. If and when it does, I think I’m going to have to save this one for my permanent spank bank.
When I review sites with truly unique vibes, I’ll often make a comment about how it’s great but it just ain’t for everybody. I don’t feel like I have to put the same disclaimer on my review of Lucid Flix. Sure, it’s stylized as all hell, but the action is as hot and hardcore as you expect from any good premium site, especially one hiring this level of talent. Really, the download situation is the only bummer I could find about the whole site.
I’d recommend a peek at the free samples of LucidFlix.com if you like dirty movies that look more like “real” movies.
